The Strike

Honouring early prospectors of Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields

The statue in the centre of the Forecourt, by Western Australian artist Greg James, tells the story of gold prospectors Arthur Bayley and William Ford. In 1892, their discovery of gold in Coolgardie contributed to one of the greatest gold rushes the world has ever seen.
