Our spectacular 1000 ounce cast silver bar is made to London Bullion Market Association (LMBA) Standards. The LBMA was established in 1987 to help attain a high level of integrity, trust, and transparency within the global precious metals industry.

The Association's standards specify the required fine ounce weight, purity and physical appearance of bars - including marking and surface quality. This allows standardised precious metal bars to be produced by refineries worldwide.

Standardised bars allow investors to have confidence they are purchasing a trustworthy product. Refiners must be accredited by LBMA as meeting these exacting standards before their cast bars can be traded on the global market. In March 2025 The Perth Mint was appointed as one of only seven LMBA Global Referees, reinforcing our reputation as one of the most trusted and respected refineries in the world.
