Alfa-Laval Marine Lube and Oil Separator

Centrifugal separators are continuously used to remove all water, sludge and impurities that contaminate fuel oil and lubricating oil.
In the case of fuel oil, the advantages include:
- Substantial reduction in the maintenance cost of injectors and exhaust valves.
- Reduced wear on fuel pumps.
- Cylinder liners are not subject to abrasive action of impurities.
- Reduced fuel consumption per BHP.
The bowl rotates at 7000 RPM and is fitted with self-cleaning intermediate discs that introduce a self-sludging action of the bowl, thus separated solids are continuously discharged through the water outlet.
