Habitat: Warm and tropical coral reefs

Conservation Status: Critically endangered

Threats: Ocean pollution, climate change, habitat destruction, poaching.

Researcher Note:

The hawksbill turtle has the prettiest shell of all turtles. Their shells were used to make “tortoiseshell” boxes and combs.
